Counselling With Sussex Central YMCASussex Central YMCA offers community counselling to young people aged 13-25 at our Youth Advice Centre in Hove. Our counsellors can offer non-judgmental support on a range of issues such as bullying, families, relationships, sexual health, alcohol and drugs. Sussex Central YMCA counsellors will respect your values, choices and lifestyle whilst helping you explore what lies behind what is troubling you.

Get Advice at Sussex Central YMCA

Please come down to our advice centres and talk to an advisor. We have workers who can advise or support you on sexual health, bullying, education, employment, money, parents, families or just to have a chat. We won't pass on any information about you without your permission (unless we believe you are at risk of harm or someone else could be).

• Housing Services Drop In: Sussex Central YMCA's Housing Advice Centre has a free and confidential drop-in service to help 16-25 year olds who are in housing need or have problems with their housing in the Brighton & Hove area. World Mental Health Day started in 1992. It was started as an annual activity of the World Federation for Mental Health. The day is officially commemorated every year on October 10th.

The Mental Health Foundation celebrates World Mental Health Day each year, using it as an opportunity to communicate with the general public about mental health issues.

In Brighton & Hove Young people are already communicating their experiences of mental health services in order to educate mental health professionals. Experience in Mind is a unique and innovative project delivered by Sussex Central YMCA in partnership with Mind in Brighton and Hove.

Sussex Central YMCA Connect ClubIf you are between 16 and 25 and currently not working, or not in education or training then pop in! The Connect Job Club is a friendly place to meet and chat, individually or in small groups, with people who can help.
