Right Here Brighton and Hove’s official launch is being celebrated on Monday 28th June with an event in Jubilee Square between 3pm and 6pm.
Right Here is a youth participation project, led by
Right here volunteers aged 16 – 25 to promote the mental and emotional well being of young people in Brighton & Hove.
This groundbreaking project is a partnership between Sussex Central YMCA, Mind in Brighton and Hove, and the Children & Young Peoples Trust. The partnership was selected to develop one of four pilot projects from across the UK by the Paul Hamlyn Foundation and the Mental Health Foundation.
At Right Here we want to show how we can help young people improve their mental and emotional well-being through building on resilience and coping skills through activities. We also want to raise awareness about mental and emotional health through campaigns, to promote well being, and influence the quality of services for young people in the city.
Please join us at the Jubilee Square launch to learn more about Right Here and meet the staff team, young volunteers, and members of the Youth Panel.
The afternoon is aimed at young people, parents/carers, community members and professionals. There will be a free rock climbing tower, a live band from Varndean College, fun activities to get involved in, freebies, and opportunities for young people to sign up for free activities taking place over the rest of the year.
If you work with young people aged 16 - 25, please encourage them to come down if they may benefit from resilience building activities, or if they might like to find out more about becoming a youth volunteer with Right Here. We look forward to seeing you!
